Pulse Health is implementing the Advanced Clinical Care programme (ACC) in Gauteng and Eastern Cape. The ACC programme seeks to advance the management of Drug-Resistant HIV &TB, strengthen mechanisms for early identification and management of failing HIV/TB patients. Pulse is expanding its teams and is looking to fill the following positions:Senior Clinical Associates – Advanced Clinical Care 
Eastern Cape  (East London Based)

The senior clinical associate will provide clinical training, coaching and mentorship of clinicians in supported facilities and districts. S/he will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination of activities with those of the DoH, District Support Partners, and other PEPFAR-funded activities.

Qualifications

  • A Clinical Associate Degree
  • Further training and experience in HIV Medicine or Equivalent
  • Experience or exposure to manage DR TB and HIV DR
  • Significant experience in the HIV/AIDS & TB Programs, health systems strengthening and capacity building
  • High level of interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills, including an ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with public sector counterparts and other stakeholders

ACC Quality Nurse Mentors/Trainers 
Gauteng (Midrand based)  

The Nurse Mentor will work closely with the high impact facilities to advance the implementation of the ACC programme interventions. He/she will conduct file audits, coach and provide onsite training to clinical staff on the management and monitoring of HIVDR and DRTB. Working with the DoH he/she will ensure high-quality technical programming through hands-on guidance and support grounded in the programme’s strategic objectives and adhering to expected technical quality and implementation framework.

Qualifications

  • A Nursing Degree/PHC & Relevant Clinical Nurse qualification and registered with South African Nursing Council
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in HIV & TB patient management
  • Experience in HIV/AIDS &TB, health systems including NIMART Training
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, including proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team

Senior Clinical Associates

Senior M&E Technical Advisor 
Gauteng (Midrand) 

The M&E Advisor will compile, expand, conduct analysis, report and visualize the outputs of the ACC/HTS Programmes using available multiple sources of data. He/she will play a technical advisory role to the clinical teams and reporting to the funders. In addition, he/she will support the collation of current and historical data compiling comprehensive profiles of the HIV & TB epidemic(s) and visualization using GIS.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in (MPH, PhD, or related degree in Public Health or Social Sciences, e.g. evaluation, demography, epidemiology, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and training in quantitative methods
  • Knowledge of modern research and analysis methodologies, and
  • Proficiency using one of the common statistical analysis software packages (Stata, SPSS, SAS) is required
  • Knowledge of M&E issues and indicator development for system strengthening
  •  Familiarity with Tier.net, EDR Web and PEPFAR indicators is a requirement
  • Outstanding writing and oral communications skills.

Database Manager
Gauteng (Midrand)

The Database Manager will integrate data from multiple sources and optimise to guide programme management.
He/she will work closely with the clinical and field teams to compile, analyse and archive generated data accordingly.

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Business Administration/Computer Engineering/Software Development or equivalent
  • Must possess excellent multi-tasking abilities, maintaining a high-level, long-term focus while negotiating short term competing priorities
  • Experience in Enterprise Data Quality, Data Standardization and Data Integration strategies and tactical implementations; including data warehousing, master data management, integration and EMPI strategies
  • Experience in data architecture design (staging, ODS layers, warehouse/mart configurations) and object-oriented programming, web architecture and development
  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of modern research and analysis methodologies, and proficiency using one of the common statistical analysis software packages (Stata, SPSS, SAS) is an advantage
  • Relevant experience in the Healthcare IT environment
  • Outstanding writing and verbal communications skills.
