Pulse Health is implementing the Advanced Clinical Care programme (ACC) in Gauteng and Eastern Cape. The ACC programme seeks to advance the management of Drug-Resistant HIV &TB, strengthen mechanisms for early identification and management of failing HIV/TB patients. Pulse is expanding its teams and is looking to fill the following positions:Project Manager – Advanced Clinical Care
Eastern Cape (East London Based)

The Project Manager will lead and manage the ACC Project in East London. He/she will be responsible for overall management, technical direction, and administration to ensure programmatic success. This includes ensuring the quality and timeliness of all deliverables. S/he will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination of activities with those of the DoH, District Support Partners, and other PEPFAR-funded activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall vision, direction, and leadership to the project team in all technical areas, including providing leadership in the strategy and work plan development process
  • Manage the project to ensure the achievement of the project’s objectives and results, including the on-time and on-budget submission of all project deliverables
  • Ensure the fulfilment of programmatic, administrative and managerial responsibilities
  • Directing and managing a project team composed of long and short-term technical experts, as well as operations staff.

Qualifications

  • A Medical Degree and/or a Diploma in HIV Medicine or Equivalent
  • Advanced degree in MPH, PhD, or related degree in public health
  • Significant experience in the HIV/AIDS & TB Programs, health systems strengthening and capacity building
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex programmes and working effectively with national and provincial authorities, entities and other partner NGO institutions
  • High level of interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills, including an ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with a broad range of public sector counterparts, donors, and other key stakeholders

Senior Medical Advisors – Advanced Clinical Care
Eastern Cape (East London Based)

The senior medical advisor will provide clinical and technical leadership by leading the training, coaching and mentorship of clinicians in supported facilities and districts. S/he will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination of activities with those of the DoH, District Support Partners, and other PEPFAR-funded activities.

Qualifications

  • A Medical Degree and/or a Diploma in HIV Medicine or Equivalent
  • Experience or exposure to managing DR TB and HIV DR
  • Advanced degree in MPH, PhD, or related degree in public health will be an advantage
  • Significant experience in the HIV/AIDS & TB Programs, health systems strengthening and capacity building
  • High level of interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills, including an ability to interact effectively collaborating with public sector counterparts and other stakeholders
