Position Overview:
Provision and maintenance of high quality patient care through nursing services. A Psychiatric will assess and facilitate treatment for patients with psychiatric disorders or the potential for such disorders using their full scope of therapeutic skills.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct screening of common mental health disorders
• Provide psychotherapy, psychoeducation, counselling for both in patients and out patients
• liase with all institutions providing mental health care services
• Collect data and report mental health conditions
• Assist all PIHL sites on Management of mental health cases
• Conduct mental health supervisory visits to all PIHL sites
• Supervise junior staff
• Monitor psychotropic side effects on patients receiving antidepressants, antipsychotics, antiepileptic etc
• Deliver high patients quality care for all MDR-TB patients
• Do give both general report and bed to bed report on MDR-TB patients either in community or hospital
• Work along doctors while conducting ward round and conducting outpatient clinic
• Make routine drugs and suppliers requisition from central pharmacy
• Participate actively on program activity organized by management of PIHL.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum Diploma in General Nursing + Psychiatry
• 2 or more years working experience in related field
• Experience in the Management of TB and HIV
