Invitation for Bids
1. The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho intends to allocate funds to the Ministry of Education and Training for the financial year 2025/2026 &2026/2027 and that part of the funds be utilized on eligible payments resulting from the procurement process as reflected below.
2. The Principal Secretary for Ministry of Education and Training now invites sealed bids from registered Security companies for the Provision of Security Services for the Ministry Education and Training

3. A complete set of electronic Bidding Documents in English may be obtained for free by interested bidders at the procurement Office located at Education Facilities Unit (EFU).
4. Bids must be delivered to the address below; {clause (8)} on or before March 12, 2025 at 11:00hrs. Late bids will be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of M2, 000.00 per lot in the form of Bank Guarantee .
5. In addition to the bid security mentioned above, it is mandatory for bidders to submit the following valid documents: (a) Tax Clearance Certificates; (b) Ministry of Home Affairs registration certificate, (c) Certificate of Bona Fide Bidding, (d) copies of previous contracts/purchase orders and (e) at least two (2) reference letters from two (2) previous clients.(f) 2 years audited financial statements. These documents [especially (a) and (b)] shall either be originals or certified copies from the source (e.g. Lesotho Revenue Authority and Home Affairs Department). Non- compliance with this requirement may invalidate a bid.
6.Qualifications requirements for award include amongst others per lot: (a) business experience of not less than three years and (b) experience in providing services of similar nature and magnitude in the past two (2) years. The margin of preference for local companies shall be applied in accordance with the requirements of Clause 78 of the Government of Lesotho Public Procurement Act 3 of 2023 during the evaluation. 7. Bids will be opened at the address given below in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on March 12, 2025 at 11:30hrs
