Invitation to Tender LEC/PO-981/2020/21

The Lesotho Electricity Company (Pty) Ltd (LEC) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders (Electrical Contractors/Suppliers) for the provision of necessary Goods and Works, design, labour, materials, equipment, installation, commissioning, testing, and other technical engineering services necessary for the successful completion of REPLACEMENT OF OLD 11KV PANELS AT SW02 SWITCHING STATION AND OTHER 4 SWICHING STATIONS IN MASERU – LESOTHO

The works involve but not limited to the following;
(a) Design, supply, delivery, installation, testing, documentation of as build drawings and commissioning of 11 kV indoor switchgears at SW02, TS02, SW14, Pitso Ground and Moposo switching stations in Maseru (Two bus couplers, eight feeders and fifteen incomers with 11000/400V VT’s on two incomers per switching station for AC supply).
(b) All other necessary works to connect, energise and commission the 11kV Panels
(c) Comprehensive contracts management.
(d) De-commissioning of old panels, transport and off-load them at New site/Mohokare offices.
The tendering companies MUST attach the following documents:
• Company Registration Certificate • Tax Clearance Certificate • Traders License

A complete set of bidding documents is available from Procurement Office.
Bids must be delivered to the tender box located at LEC Management Block reception on or before 12:00hrs on the 3rd December, 2020.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12:00hrs on the 3rd December, 2020 at LEC offices.

Site Visit: The bidder is advised that it is his responsibility to visit and examine the site of works and its surroundings and obtain for himself, all information that may be necessary for preparing the tender and entering into a contract. The costs of visiting the site and obtaining the necessary information shall be borne by the bidders.

Clarifications shall be communicated in writing seven (7) Calendar days before the tender closing date.
