INVITATION TO TENDER
PROVISION OF CANTEEN AND CATERING SERVICES
BID REF NO: RD/ CANTEEN AND CATERING SERVICES -001/2018
1.1 The Roads Directorate intends to apply part of its budgetary allocation funded by Road Fund to fund eligible payments under the contract for RD/CANTEEN AND CATERING SERVICES -001/2018 towards the realization of the above cited project.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
PROVISION OF CANTEEN AND CATERING SERVICES TO ROADS DIRECTORATE:
The Roads Directorate intends to engage the services of a suitably qualified and experienced catering service provider at the Roads Directorate Training Centre in Teyateyaneng, Berea. The Roads Directorate intends to enter into a twelve (12) month contract with a catering service provider that will provide the required catering.
1.2 The Roads Directorate (RD) therefore invites tenders from registered catering companies with relevant experience in providing similar services, for the provision of canteen and catering services at the Roads Directorate Training Centre in Teyateyaneng.
1.3 A compulsory pre-tender meeting will be held at the Roads Directorate Training Centre in Teyateyaneng (opposite St. Agnes High School) on Tuesday, 28th August 2018 at 10h30 (10.30 a.m).
1.4 Tenders must be accompanied by copies of valid
1) tax clearance certificate and 2) traders licence. All copies should be certified at source.
1.5 The tender document will be available from the Procurement Section of the Roads Directorate (ground floor Room G11) for a non- refundable fee of Four Hundred Maloti only (M400.00) per documents a cash or Bankers Cheque payable to the Roads Directorate, Nedbank Lesotho, Operating Revenue, and Account No: 021000067633.
1.6 Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bid documents at the following address during normal working hours (08h00-16h30)

1.7 Confidential tenders in sealed envelopes bearing no identification of the tenderer marked “Tender For The Provision Of Catering Services At The Roads Directorate Training Centre In Teyateyaneng” should be deposited in the Tender Box of the Roads Directorate situated at Ground Floor next to the Procurement Section (Room G11), Roads Directorate Headquarters , situated off Moshoeshoe Road at Maseru Industrial
area, opposite to Brown’s Wholesalers on or before 12h00 of the 27th September, 2018. Late tenders will be rejected.
1.8 The tenders will be opened on the same day, 27th September 2018, at the ground floor boardroom of the Roads Directorate Headquarters at 14h30. Representatives of the tendering firms are free to attend the tender opening session.
1.9 All tenderers who failed to fulfill their contractual obligations on past catering contracts with the Roads Directorate Training Centre (i.e. those caterers who have outstanding 10% facility rental payments) will not be eligible to tender for the said services.
1.10 A prospective tenderer requiring any clarification of the tendering documents may contact the Roads Directorate Procurement Section at 22323029/22323024 or Roads Directorate Training Centre at +266 2250 0770. The Employer will respond to any request for clarification received earlier than five (5) days prior to the deadline for submission of tenders.
