THE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EoI): PROVISION OF BULK PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR UNICEF’S ORGANIZATIONAL AND PROGRAMMATIC NEEDS
BACKGROUND
UNICEF Lesotho works to save children’s lives. To defend their rights. To keep them safe from harm. To give them a childhood in which they’re protected, healthy and educated. To give them a fair chance to fulfil their potential. It achieves these through collaboration and close working relationships with the Government, Non- Governmental agencies, Academia and professional consultancy services firms. As required by the Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfer (HACT), the Country Office conducts micro assessments before deciding the modality of funding to its implementing partners. As a result, it is eminent that UNICEF diversify payment modalities offered on different platforms to implement the programmes successfully.
To allow the necessary agility, UNICEF is looking to partner with a range of different service providers, that can handle bulk payments. Payments can be via bank transfer, mobile money payments, remittances, or as cash in transit in Lesotho Loti (LSL).
PURPOSE OF THE EOI
This Expression of Interest (EoI) solicits email response(s) from private sector stakeholders/organizations involved in the bulk payments services (with capacity of payees from 20 per transaction), financing organizations/institutions such as banks and institutions accredited by the Central bank of Lesotho to provide financial services, etc.
UNICEF calls on responses from service providers with unique and innovative products, services and business solutions suitable for the Lesotho market; solutions that can unlock the geographic challenges in bulk payments distribution in Lesotho.
