Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position is tenable at in Maseru. The incumbent will be responsible to the Protection Engineer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Experience:
-Minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience.
-Computer literacy and report writing skills.
-Must have a valid driver’s Licence.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following:
• Repairing and routine testing of relays, control circuits, and relay assemblies, power
transformers tap changers, instrument transformers, battery chargers etc.
• Commissioning of newly installed protection and control systems.
• Calculating and implementing proper protection settings for the entire LEC power system.
• Controlling, operating and maintaining LEC Power Protection Systems for safe loading on the LEC power system installations.
• Attending all protection and control related problems.
• Troubleshooting faults, analysing and rectifying them.
• Testing LEC power equipment prior to installation.
• Installing power analysers at customer points, analysing the results and advising accordingly.
• Phasing of power cable after repairs.
• Adhering to safety rules and regulations at all times.
• Any other duties that may be reasonably assigned from time to time and occasioned by the position requirements.
