Webuild is looking for a Project Procurement Manager for one of its main projects in Lesotho.

He/she will be responsible for managing the project’s products and services supply, defining the best strategy for identifying the most effective and advantageous agreements, while coordinating with the central headquarters, in compliance with the Group’s guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Defining the procurement plan according to the project’s production plan, in agreement with the Project Manager;
• Guaranteeing compliance with the procedures previously defined by the HQ Procurement Department, and their correct implementation.
• Guaranteeing that orders are issued correctly and that goods and services are promptly procured, in compliance with required specifications;
• Deciding the Project Operation Procurement Plan, with the Project Manager, according to the procurement strategies previously defined with the HQ’s Procurement Department, to reach the Group’s targets;
• Managing, in operational terms, the procurement process (from selecting suppliers to issuing orders), in continuous coordination with the HQ Procurement Department;
• Monitoring the conformity of the goods shipped by suppliers, with regard to the documentation, and to carry out the orders, in full compliance with the project’s timings and needs;
• Contributing towards stock management activities, supporting warehouse managers for stock optimization purposes;
• Managing relations with suppliers, negotiating supplying terms in terms of cost, quality, level of service, timings and related payments;
• Supporting worksite activities involving suppliers.

Requirements:

• University Degree in Engineering – Civil or Management Engineering are preferable – or equivalent degrees;
• 5-10 years of experience in similar roles in complex organization with matrix organization
• Previous experience in managing business within Africa Region and/or South Africa represents a plus
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market and market knowledge represents a plus
• Negotiation and networking skills;
• Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software; SAP software knowledge represents a plus
• Prone to making decisions and to working with numbers;
• Collection and data-analysis experience;
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills;
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
• A team player with leadership abilities;
• Full command of the English language; knowledge of Italian is desirable.
