Position: Project Planner / Trainee Delay Analyst
Location: Maseru
About the Role
The successful candidate will initially support project planning and project controls activities before progressively undertaking specialist forensic delay analysis assignments.
Training and exposure will include:
- Primavera P6 planning and scheduling
- Development, review and maintenance of project programmes
- Construction sequencing and critical path analysis
- Progress measurement and programme updates
- Programme compliance reviews
- Extension of Time (EOT) assessments
- Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
- Windows (Time Slice) Delay Analysis
- NEC, FIDIC and GCC programming requirements
- Claims preparation and contractual entitlement
- Expert witness support
- Construction dispute resolution
This role is designed to develop the successful candidate into a specialist Delay Analyst through practical project experience and ongoing professional mentoring.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline
- A minimum of three (3) years’ practical site planning experience on construction or civil engineering projects
- Experience preparing and maintaining construction programmes
- Sound understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary project teams
- A genuine interest in developing a career in planning, forensic delay analysis, and construction claims
Desirable Experience
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in:
- Primavera P6
- Major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Roads and highways
- Water infrastructure
- Dams and hydropower
- Buildings
- NEC or FIDIC contracts
- Project controls and reporting

Location Details
This position is based full-time at CDQ Group Lesotho’s offices in Maseru, with occasional travel to project sites within Lesotho as required.
