Location: Maseru, Lesotho (with travel to Berea and Leribe)

Contract Type: Full-time, 12 months (with possible extension)

The THUSO Project, supported by the Marang Fund, aims to promote the dignity, safety, and inclusion of LGBTQI+ persons in Lesotho. It addresses structural discrimination in financial services, public infrastructure, correctional facilities, and gender-based violence (GBV) response systems through institutional engagement, policy advocacy, and capacity building.

๐‘๐จ๐ฅ๐ž ๐Ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐ž๐ฐ:

The Project Officer will play a key role in the implementation and day-to-day coordination of the THUSO Project. The position requires a highly organised and proactive individual capable of supporting field operations, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project outputs. The role demands strong attention to detail, accountability, and a demonstrated commitment to human rights and inclusion.

๐Š๐ž๐ฒ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ:

โ€ข Support the implementation of project activities across designated districts.

โ€ข Assist in organising training sessions, workshops, and community dialogues.

โ€ข Collect data and support the documentation of human rights violations.

โ€ข Assist in the development and dissemination of advocacy materials and policy briefs.

โ€ข Contribute to project reporting and ensure timely submission of activity reports.

โ€ข Maintain strong working relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.

โ€ข Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes, including data entry, feedback collection, and progress tracking.

๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Law, Social Work, Gender Studies, or a related field.

โ€ข Minimum of 1 year of experience in human rights or community-based programming.

โ€ข Familiarity with LGBTQI+ issues and rights in Lesotho.

โ€ข Strong organisational and facilitation skills.

โ€ข Ability to work effectively in diverse and inclusive team environments.
