Project Specific Objectives | To enable the Mokhotlong District Health Management Team (DHMT) to improve on selected MNCH indicators, focusing on maternal and neonatal health care. Health centers team delivers high quality antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum healthcare services at facility and community level thus contributing to the Universal Health Coverage. To participate in implementation research, pilot innovative and locally adapted solutions and capitalize the lessons learnt. |
Summary Key Tasks | Provide onsite clinical mentoring, support, and training to the health workers of allocated health centers. Work closely with the allocated facility / DHMT to implement activities aimed at improving project indicatorsContribute to needs assessment, mapping, and development of project in the remaining project health centers of MokhotlongCollect and regularly collate project indicatorsPrepare and submit half-yearly and annual project reports Actively work towards implementation of Yearly Plan of Operation.Participate actively in the planning and implementation of implementation research carried out within the project framework |
Required Qualifications and Experience | Minimum diploma in Nursing and Midwifery. Registration with the Nursing council as a nurse midwife is compulsory.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in MCNH clinical care and quality improvement projects or in a similar field.Previous experience working within the Ministry of Health system with at least 2 years preferably in a Health Centre is highly desirable.Previous experience with an NGO is an added advantage.Having experience on providing onsite training for nursing personal working at health facilities.Well versed with ESMOE protocols and ESMOE Trainer of trainee desirable.Experience and interest in capacity building;Strong interest in operational research & scientific exchange.Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power-point) |
