Avalanche Consulting is bidding for a groundbreaking opportunity in one of the largest water projects currently underway in Lesotho. This opportunity is still at the bidding stage.
Avalanche Consulting invites CVs from Basotho for the following position:
Project Manager / Team Leader
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Professional Engineer or equivalent registration
- Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or related disciplines
- Experience in design/project management of access roads and bridges, water and sanitation, and electrical distribution projects (including off-grid systems) in developing countries
- Minimum of twenty (20) years relevant postgraduate experience
- At least ten (10) years’ experience leading the design and construction management of infrastructure projects as Project Manager, Programme Manager, or Team Leader
- At least five (5) years’ experience in FIDIC contracts or equivalent
- Substantial experience working in African and/or similar developing countries
Specific Tasks Include:
- Serve as Team Leader for the duration of the project, full-time in Lesotho during Stage 1 and up to completion of detailed design
- Client liaison and contract administration
- Responsible for the proper performance and management of all project activities in accordance with the contract, including engineering, safety, occupational health, environmental, and quality management
