The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) International is a non-governmental organization established in 1984 under the auspices of the Seventh-day Adventist Church World Church, to serve humanity so all may live as God intended. The organization expanded to Lesotho in 1988. With decades of experience in humanitarian assistance, community development, and disaster response, ADRA Lesotho works across sectors including health, nutrition, livelihoods, education, and emergency relief.
Position Overview
ADRA Lesotho is seeking a qualified and dynamic individual to serve as Project Manager for the Maternal Aid for Mothers Assurance (MAMA) Project in Maseru and Berea districts. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, and reporting of the MAMA Project. The role involves managing field teams, engaging stakeholders, ensuring compliance with donor and internal standards, and promoting quality, results-based implementation.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Leading development and rollout of work plans and schedules
- Supervising field teams and coordinating project activities
- Managing stakeholder relations and community engagement
- Overseeing project MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting & Learning) processes
- Participating in budget planning and resource oversight
- Ensuring compliance with Radiohjälpen and ADRA standards
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Sciences, Community Development, or similar field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
OR
Diploma in a similar field with 7 years of relevant experience in project coordination and community health programming - Certification in Project Management (PMD, PRINCE2, PMP) is an added advantage
- Valid license under the Nursing Council of Lesotho
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication in both Sesotho and English
- Being a committed and practicing Christian
