About the Project
MSKC Joint Venture are the Professional Service Consultants for the design and construction supervision of the Polihali Transfer Tunnel under the Lesotho Highlands Water Project – Phase II.
The works extend from Katse Reservoir, through the Transfer and Delivery Tunnels, to the Ash River Outfall between Clarens and Bethlehem in South Africa, with water ultimately reaching the Vaal Dam in Gauteng.

Location: Maseru, Lesotho, and occasionally at Katse or Polihali tunnel sites in the Lesotho Highlands
Education
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Must be a Professional Engineer
Experience
- Minimum of 20 years post‑graduate experience in civil engineering works at successive levels of responsibility, including project management, design, and project development
- Experience in water resource development, including design and construction of intakes, tunnels, and related structures
- At least 5 years’ experience with FIDIC contracts
- Substantial experience working in African and/or similar developing countries
High‑Level Role Description and Duties
- Lead a dynamic MSKC‑JV team providing professional services for the design and construction supervision of the Polihali Transfer Tunnel for LHDA
- Full‑time position based in Lesotho
- Experience required in underground drill & blast and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations
- Reports to the Joint Venture Policy Committee and Client management team
- Responsible for Contract Administration under the Consultancy Contract
- Manage all aspects of the MSKC Joint Venture, including change, cost, programme, resources, quality, procurement, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
- Chair meetings and provide regular reporting
