Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL) is a network of churches’ owned health facilities including 8 hospitals, 71 Health Centres and 4 Nursing Training Institutions throughout the country. It is constitutionally mandated to facilitate participation of Christian churches in ensuring that the right to health for all is upheld to the highest quality. The Association collaborates with various partners in delivering health care services to fulfil its mandate and as such, implements various donor funded projects to promote good health for all Basotho. CHAL therefore, has been awarded a grant by African Christian Health Associations Platform (ACHAP) to limit transmission, minimise death and reduce social harm caused by Covid 19. CHAL therefore invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions for a period of ten (10) months:
POSITION:
1. PROJECT MANAGER X 1
The Project Manager will provide technical support and leadership in complementing government efforts to increase vaccination coverage in Lesotho under Africa CDC support. More specifically, the Project Manager will lead the coordination of project activities as implemented by the Ministry of Health under Covid-19 vaccination priorities, and monitor the achievement of project deliverables as per the overall project’s objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Project Management or related field.
2) Master’s degree is an added advantage.
3) 6-8 years relevant experience in management of national health programmes
4) Solid experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (MERL) and in leading diverse teams.
5) Significant experience in data management including extensive quantitative and qualitative analytical and writting skills and use of analytical software, extensive experience in designing and undertaking research, evaluation and other studies.
6) Experience in Narrative Report writing is essential for this position.
7) Experience in management of USAID projects is an added advantage.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1) Proven management experience in supervision of staff in cross-functional teams.
2) Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact effectively with others, both internally and externally.
3) Excellent time management skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
