Project Coordinator – Lesotho

Gender Links (GL), a dynamic Southern African NGO headquartered in Johannesburg that promotes gender justice and equality seeks to fill the position of the Project Coordinator for its Lesotho country office. The Project Coordinator will report to the Country Manager and will be based in Maseru, Lesotho.

Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing of project activities under the EU funded project
  • Undertaking data entries from field visits to the project areas
  • Monitoring the activities taking place at the district and council level
  • Providing feedback to the Country Manager on project progress in line with planned activities and recommend strategies for addressing gaps and strengthening successes met during the project implementation in line with M&E Framework.
  • Contribute quantitative and qualitative to monthly reporting by the Country manager in the Results Framework and as per agreed works plans and reporting.
  • Assisting in the development of the training tools and conduct trainings.
  • Prepare workshop reports and quarterly reports and end of the year reports.
  • Together with other implementing partners, the Project Coordinator will service target groups and beneficiaries and ensure that they get greater access all the services which includes amongst others referral to health services, legal aid services in order to promote social change in the ten districts.

Qualifications, experience and key competencies

  • Master degree in social sciences with gender and development included or related fields;
  • Experience in NGO project management and communication;
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation systems including qualitative and quantitative monitoring
  • Good administrative and interpersonal skills;
  • IT proficiency including all MS packages;
  • Able to handle pressure and is dynamic to change;
  • Must have acquired training skills;
  • Willingness to travel within Lesotho and outside Lesotho;
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment;
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision;
  • Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage

The post is for an initial period of one year based in Maseru, Lesotho. GL will offer a competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
