Job Title: Project Coordinator

Overview

Fee: EUR 2,492 gross monthly fee (contractor basis)
Contract Duration: Initial 6-month full-time contract, with possibility of extension subject to performance and project needs
Location: Fully remote (preference for Europe and MENA time zones)
Reports to: Project Manager

This role is structured as a project management track position, with potential progression into a Project Manager role over the course of the project.

The New Pathways to Resilience (NPR) programme is a 3-year EU-funded regional initiative focused on reducing irregular migration along the Eastern Mediterranean and Western Balkan routes. It supports informed migration decision-making and increases access to alternatives through communications, counselling, referrals, and stakeholder engagement.

Our team of over 100 consultants delivers programmes for Seefar Foundation and research and advisory services for Farsight Global.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination and Implementation Support (50%)

  • Support day-to-day delivery of a multi-country strategic communications programme
  • Coordinate implementation activities, timelines, and workplans
  • Liaise with field teams and consultants across countries
  • Coordinate meetings and follow-up actions
  • Supervise and follow up on team activities and deliverables
  • Maintain trackers, workplans, risk logs, and documentation
  • Support coordination across teams, consultants, and partners
  • Identify and resolve implementation challenges proactively

2. Operations and Logistics Coordination (25%)

  • Coordinate logistics and operational processes across multiple countries
  • Arrange travel and accommodation
  • Support workshops, events, and stakeholder engagements
  • Assist with consultant onboarding
  • Liaise with operations teams on administrative matters
  • Maintain organised project systems and documentation

3. Financial, Reporting, and Administrative Support (15%)

  • Support budget tracking and expenditure monitoring
  • Coordinate invoices and financial documentation
  • Assist with recruitment and consultant administration
  • Support reporting and donor updates
  • Maintain compliance documentation

4. Learning, Quality, and Professional Growth (10%)

  • Support knowledge sharing and documentation
  • Contribute to process improvement and operational systems
  • Strengthen overall project coordination quality

Candidate Profile

You are a highly organised and proactive professional with experience in project coordination, comfortable managing logistics, administration, and competing priorities in a remote environment.

You excel at:

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project coordination or similar roles
  • Experience supporting multi-country projects or programmes
  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills in remote environments
  • Experience working with field teams and stakeholders across time zones
  • Experience in logistics, procurement, recruitment coordination, finance administration, and reporting
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
  • Experience organising meetings, workshops, and events
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail in documentation and reporting
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management tools (e.g. Wrike)
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in migration, strategic communications, international development, or social impact sectors
  • Familiarity with social media, digital communications, or behaviour change programming
  • Experience working in MENA, Eastern Mediterranean, or migration contexts
  • Additional relevant languages (Arabic, Turkish, Bengali, Dari/Pashto, Urdu)
