Job Description Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will take care of the overall management of rise’s projects from initiation to completion. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for business development, communications and marketing, grant writing, creating milestone schedules, drafting policies, building relationships with key stakeholders, as well as day-to-day project management and monitoring & evaluation. 

As a start-up social enterprise, rise’s Project Coordinator will have hands-on operational exposure creating and setting up systems to manage and allow growth and development for the organisation.  The Coordinator will be expected to provide innovative and entrepreneurial solutions that foster and support the keys aims of rise.

Responsibilities

Below is a list of some of the main responsibilities but the list is not exhaustive:

1.Coordinate with rise team members and clients/partners for the flawless execution of multiple projects.

2.Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and within budget in collaboration with the responsible team members, and help the project team develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.

3.Ensure resource availability and allocation.

4.Identify, analyze and track risks related to projects and propose mitigation  strategies to the management team (Risk management).

5.Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, and liaise with projects team members to ensure all documentation is in accordance with our requirements

6.Be responsible for marketing and promoting rise’s work in Lesotho through meetings and presentations with key stakeholders 

7.Coordinate in loco fellows recruitment, communication and trainings and be their main contact person.

8.Play a key role in the capacity building of partner organisations and entrepreneurs.

9.Facilitate business training. 

10.Manage the Monitoring & Evaluation of the projects and programs. 

11.Build relationships with key stakeholders in Lesotho including academia, the private sector, government and international partners. 

12.Follow up with entrepreneurs who receive training to ensure they are putting the training they receive into practice and that they are receiving the support they need in order for their enterprises to thrive.

13.Assist with any operational related tasks as and when the need arises.

14.Any other ad hoc duties as may be reasonable within the context of project coordination.

Do you have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in entrepreneurship or business development with a business / economics related degree?
