Job Description:

Key Outputs/Responsibilities:

Based in the National Office (NO), the Project Coordinator will be in charge of the management and coordination of all project activities in the implementation areas, overall monitoring and evaluation processes, technical support at all stages and partner networking. 

To facilitate documentation of best practices and share them with different partners both internally and externally in order to inform National level advocacy interventions and thus contribute towards efficiency improvements in the response to TiP and support of PwD in Lesotho. Three Project Officers will be based at the cluster level, to be determined within the districts of Maseru, Mafeteng Mohales Hoek, Quthing, Leribe, Berea and Mokhotlong.


(Accountabilities and results) 

  • Strengthen the capacity and technical project management in operations of the Project Officers.
  • Facilitate participation of all stakeholders in identifying potentials and applying them to achieve goals, build networks for extensive support and skills acquisition for TiP victims, communities and PwD.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality preparation of required project reports (quarterly, mid-term and final) or any other required report) to the Support Office/ donor.
  • Ensure knowledge building and sharing, and performance management in the area of planning and project management.,
  • Supervision of Project Field staff and project resources.
     

Other Competencies/Attributes:

· Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.

· Attend and participate in daily devotions.

· Solid experience in advocacy work preferably in the field of child protection;

· Excellent facilitation, presentation, communication and reporting skills;

· Be culturally sensitive and have the ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds;

· Must be able to work independently while being a team player;

· Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience:

The following may be acquired through acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior to experience or on-the-job training:

Minimum Qualification Required:

· Degree in Social Work, public administration or community development preferred

· Experience in working within the civil society organizations, community and faith-based organizations

· Experience in engaging governments and working in policy environment

· Familiarity with TiP and PwD dynamics

· Experience in conducting policy-oriented research

· Minimum of seven (7) Years work experience

Working Environment / Conditions:

· Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field

· Work in formal and informal context
