Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Lesotho The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Lesotho (BCMCFL), is the result of a public-private partnership between Baylor College of Medicine International Pediatric AIDS Initiative and the Government of Lesotho, and is a legal, non-profit/tax exempt organization registered in Lesotho. BCMCFL provides free pediatric and family-centred HIV and tuberculosis prevention, care, treatment and support, serving thousands of children and families affected by HIV, TB, or other child health conditions.
BCMCFL is looking for highly qualified local candidates to fill in the following positions available on a full-time, Fixed-Term, Special Contract basis.

Project Coordinator (x 1) Based in COE – Maseru | Position Overview The Project Coordinator will have responsibility for overall coordination, implementation, administration and reporting of the project activities. S/He will provide leadership for the project and support the Projects Manager in the design, implementation and management of project activities. S/He will take overall responsibility for liaison with Project staff, DHMTs and stakeholders in the Project’s area of responsibility. The Project Coordinator will report directly to Projects Manager. S/He will be expected to will be expected to travel 60% to project(s) in the districts. Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to • Oversee day-to-day activities of project implementation • Track project progress to determine any delays or deviations and ensure all project activities are completed on-time • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation in maintenance appropriately for each district • Coordinate with management in developing project scope, plan, deliverables, budget and milestones • Support facility and program staff during periodic file and data review • Ensure appropriate use of project funds in accordance with approved work plans • Ensure all staff receive relevant trainings and refresher trainings as needed • Ensure projects appropriately staff and availability of job aids to the teams • Lead the development of relevant SOPs to promote quality service • Create and maintain an up-to-date reporting schedule • Coordinate with M&E teams to identify gaps in performance and develop corrective measures • Communicate regularly with project leader regarding implementation of activities • Produce regular reports including monthly, quarterly reports • Represent the project at the district • Perform other tasks assigned by the administration | • Degree in Social Sciences • Minimum of 5 years’ experience coordinating health related projects • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team • Experience working with adolescents and young people with be an added advantage • Prior experience leading the team • Good report writing, training and computer skills • Willingness to adapt to the changing demands of the position • Willingness to work flexible hours in order to meet targets • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Donor funding programming |
