Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL) is a network of churches’ owned health facilities including 8 hospitals, 71 Health Centres and 4 Nursing Training Institutions throughout the country. It is constitutionally mandated to facilitate participation of Christian churches in ensuring that the right to health for all is upheld to the highest quality. The Association collaborates with various partners in delivering health care services to fulfil its mandate and as such, implements various donor funded projects to promote good health for all Basotho. CHAL therefore, has been awarded a grant by African Christian Health Associations Platform (ACHAP) to limit transmission, minimise death and reduce social harm caused by Covid 19. CHAL therefore invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions for a period of ten (10) months:
PROJECT ACCOUNTANT X 1
The incumbent will provide financial support to the Lesotho Country program as well as ensure effective utilization of donor funds allocated to the projects in accordance with donors’, CHAL policies and international standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Bcom Accounting or General Accounting, with detailed knowledge of project contracts.
2) Must have at least three (3) years of relevant experience in USAID funded Projects.
3) Solid knowledge of Pastel and other accounting softwares
4) Four years relevant experience, preferrably in USAID funded projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1) Familiarity with grants management and experience with financial and operations management.
2) Strong interpersonal skills.
3) ICT proficient
4) Analytical and attention to detail.
5) Good organization, planning and coordination skills.
6) Problem solving skills.
7) Team player.
