Overview:

Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Lesotho The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Lesotho (BCMCFL), is the result of a public-private partnership between Baylor College of Medicine International Pediatric AIDS Initiative and the Government of Lesotho, and is a legal, non-profit/tax exempt organization registered in Lesotho. BCMCFL provides free pediatric and family-centred HIV and tuberculosis prevention, care, treatment and support, serving thousands of children and families affected by HIV, TB, or other child health conditions.

BCMCFL is looking for highly qualified local candidates to fill in the following positions available on a full-time, Fixed-Term, Special Contract basis.

Project Accountant (x 1)   Based in COE – MaseruPosition Overview The Project Accountant will be responsible for the overall financial management of the Project being implemented by Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation-Lesotho (BCMCFL). S/He will oversee the effective and appropriate use of financial resources, and will be responsible   for   accounting,   financial   reporting,   budgeting,   tax compliance,    in-house    controlling,    insurance,    and    audit-related activities of the project. The Project Accountant will report directly to Finance Manager.     Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to •    Assist in the development of appropriate Finance policies and administrative tools that give effect to the policies in order to ensure a reliable internal control environment •    Ensure   all   processes   and   payments   are   executed   in accordance  with  GAAP,  and  government  regulations  (i.e. USAID and other federal and state  regulations), BCMCFL policies

•     First degree in Accounting, Finance and other relevant  Management  field,  advance  degree preferred
•     5 years progressive complex accounting and financial management experience
•     Proven ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
•     Experience and knowledge of USAID Finance and administrative standards and regulations
•     Working    knowledge    of    SAP    accounting software desirable
•     Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple on-going assignments
•     Proficiency   in   Microsoft   office,   particularly Excel
•     Excellent organizational skills
•     Excellent time management
•     Proven analytical and problem-solving ability
