SPORT AND RECREATION COMMISSION (LSRC)

The LSRC is looking for a responsible Programmes Officer to support the implementation and coordination of LSRC programmes. Under the supervision of the Programmes Manager, the Programmes Officer will be responsible for monitoring all National Federations’ compliance issues related to the development of sport and recreation, capacity building, and good governance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist implementation of Strategic Plan by all National Federations. Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in the development of National Federations’ Annual Work plans.
  • Receive and process requests from National Federations.
  • Update and maintain National Federations’ Scoreboard.
  • Carry out National Federations’ assessment and capacitation.
  • Assist in coordination and facilitation of sub-committees’ and National Federations’ activities.
  • Work with National Federations in relation to club development and specific events.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with any other ad hoc tasks and projects within the Commission.

Requirements and Skills

  • Ability to identify and manage stakeholders’ needs and expectations.
  • Project/event management skills.
  • Ability to prepare budgets.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience and Qualification

  • Minimum two years’ work experience as Programmes Officer, Sports Officer/Administrator, or related field.
  • Degree in Sports Science, Public Administration, or related studies.
