The lesbian and Gay Community and Health Centre(the LGBTI Centre) is a community-orientated wellbeing human rights focused service training and advocacy organization. We provide direct services, outreach youth and community well-being programmes, support and education primarily to lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender and intersex (LGBTI) Individuals and/or communities, Men who have sex with Men (MSM) in Kwazulu-Natal (KZN).

We seek to appoint a Programmes manager which will be based in our ladysmith district who will act as a coordinator between multiple projects to ensure the benefits each other and align with overall organizational goals. The Programme Manager for the Global Fund HTS Programme is responsible for the effective co-ordination of the programmme’s activities and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the co-ordination of the Organisation to enable effective realization of projected outputs.

Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years management experience
Bachelor’s degree or an Advanced degree in management or other relevant fields
Proven stakeholder management skills
Proven experience managing a team
Functions:
Planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action;
Defining the programme’s governance arrangements;
Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme- focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programme;
Managing the programme’s budget on behalf of the, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the programme progresses;
Facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams;
Enduring there is allocation of common resources and skills within programme’s components;
Managing third party contributions to the programme
Managing communications with all stakeholders;
Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between branches and activities;
Managing risks to the programme’s successful outcome;
Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme identified or issues arise;
Report progress of the programme at regular intervals to the management team.
