The New loveLife Trust is an NGO that campaigns with nationwide community level outreach and supports programmes that promote healthy, HIV-free living among South African teens. loveLife has reached unprecedented scale in implementing cutting-edge comprehensive and combined social behaviour change programming face-to-face with adolescents.

New loveLife Trust seeks to appoint Programme Material Developer & Trainer to be based in Sandton.

Remuneration: R 350 000 CTC per annum

The purpose of the successful applicant would be required to fulfil the following primary functions in a professional manner and with technical excellence:

Responsibilities:
Conduct research activities that inform programme strategy, design and development.
Write participants, facilitators, and management manuals.
Oversee the layout, design, and printing process for programme manuals.
Champion the implementation of all loveLife programmes.
Train loveLife facilitators on new programmes
Improvement of designed loveLife lesson plans for loveLife training/ capacitation workshops based on training implementation feedback.
Work with programme management teams on matters related to the revision and development of training Plans and youth service curriculum development within the projects
Development of the new lesson plans for capacitation around identified training needs.
Training, coaching/ mentoring of provincial programme managers and co-ordinators with regards to the design of lesson plans.
Contribute to the development of Training Plans by writing curriculum under the guidance of Program Management teams.
Implement the roll out of Training Plans according to different grade levels in 9 provinces;
Ensure that training design conforms to loveLife values/ culture.
Developing training calendar in consultation with departmental heads of the organisation and ensure that all lessons learnt are collated and given to PMD as part of knowledge management.
Liaise with Programme Measurement & Design department regarding monitoring, training targets and reporting on achievement of training outcomes.
Develop loveLife training and quality strategy together with Quality Assurance Unit and ensure and implementation of loveLife training quality tools by staff.
Design and manage monitoring, quality assurance, and management tools and systems for training.
Exercise quality control in the planning and execution of training activities that focus on design and use of instructional materials in the training setting;
Conduct visits to training events to monitor quality and ensure training outcomes are achieved.
Collaborate on monitoring and evaluation of Training Plan development initiatives within the project;
Participate in training evaluation sessions as co-ordinated by PMD.
Utilise training report feedback to inform training manual & methods development.
Participate in activities of the organisational training committee.
Provide leadership in development of training methods/methodology
Training of loveLife trainers in preparation for National Training Events.
Ensuring training support for provinces.
Training events coordination for all national events
Logistics and training venues adherence to training requirements.
Manage  all agreements with Operations team, specifically focusing on:
Travel and conferencing: ensuring bookings are as per training standards, made on time and on budget.
Warehousing and Distribution: ensuring all training materials are procured, printed and distributed on time and on budget.
Human Resources: Ensuring training design adheres to the Labour relations Act and the internal policies and procedures of the New loveLife Trust.
Communications: Ensure branding standards are adhered to in all our material.
Running errands as required by the organisation.
Requirements:
Relevant 3 year Tertiary qualification
3 years in Learning/Training or programme Design
Registered as a facilitator
Excellent writing skills
Knowledge of, Public Health Interventions Sexuality Education and HIV Prevention Education, especially for young people
Experience with curriculum and materials development and report writing strongly desired
Knowledge of training methodologies, training design and social research methodologies
Knowledge and experience of both qualitative and quantitative software packages (e.g., SPSS, STATA, Envivo, Atlas.Ti)
Event management experience
Attention to detail and systematic thinker
Self-initiator, pro-activeness and displays leadership qualities
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
Computer literacy across multiple platforms.
Valid driver’s license.
