The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

FACULTY OF EDUCATION:
Post No. 0803 – Programme Coordinator – B.Ed. Primary

Qualifications and Requirements:
 Master of Education (M.Ed.) (preferably in Early Childhood and/ or
Foundation Phase Education).
 Experience coordinating academic programmes.
 Experience in budgeting, and reporting.
The following shall count as added advantage:
 Knowledge of learning management system.
 Public speaking and presentation skills.
 Knowledge of the Council on Higher Education programme accreditation
standards.
 Teaching experience at basic education level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will be expected to:
 Support planning and coordination of the programme and its activities,
including recruitment and supervision of staff teaching in the
programme.
 Make reports and presentations to ensure better communication about
and understanding of the programme.
 Develop programme budgets and track expenditures/transactions for
better understanding of programme performance and development.
 Ensure implementation of policies and practices that sustain the
programme’s relevance to local and the global education fraternity.
 Stimulate and manage communications about and promotion of the
programme activities through media e.g. social media etc.
 Ensure efficient use of technology for teaching and learning in the
programme.
 Manage the programme to uphold standards desired by the Council on
Higher Education and the National University of Lesotho.
 Do any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Head, EDF.

Permanent and pensionable (Position open for locals Only)
