Mikhulu Child Development Trust seeks to appoint a Programme Coordinator to be based in Cape Town.

They aspire to an agile and reflective style of work, requiring high levels of independence, productivity and decisiveness within a collaborative and accountable environment. We are looking for a high performing individual to join our team as the Programme Coordinator. The role will focus on supporting the quality implementation of programmes by our current NPO implementing partners, and building capacity of new implementing partners to deliver programmes.

Employment type: Permanent

Commencement Date: between 1 and 11 April 2022

Key high-level responsibilities include:
Effectively coordinate training and mentorship programmes
Manage, and provide support to, key relationships with NPO partners
Develop and improve programme materials
Manage and improve programme quality
Manage and improve programme delivery processes
Minimum requirements:
Proven relevant experience (min 4 years) coordinating people and programmes;
Experience in NGO and/or ECD sector;
Good verbal and written English skills;
Native in isiXhosa, isiZulu or Sesotho (or other)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including having an appropriate level of cultural sensitivity;
Strong computer skills, including relevant computer literacy in MS Office.

Proven experience in
Coordinating logistics, resources and people for programme delivery
Building and maintaining relationships with NPO partners
Conducting trainings and engaging with people at various levels (from community-based workers to more senior staff)
Providing mentorship and support to other coordinators and implementation staff
Conducting structured evaluations and assessments
Recording and reporting on monitoring and evaluation data
Materials development and improvement
Report writing and document management
Development/improvement of programme processes

Driver’s Licence and own vehicle will be needed for this role, as well as the willingness to travel and willingness to work in low-income areas.
