 Position Summary  

Our dynamic, growing organization seeks a Program Officer to join the Social Impact Department. The Program Officer will lead a portfolio of social impact projects on a diverse set of issues focused on global health, gender equity, and human rights. A successful candidate will be a team leader, creative problem solver, and a strong collaborator. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the intersection of mission-driven programming, solution design, and stakeholder engagement.   

This full-time, exempt position reports to the Director, Social Impact. This position is available on a fully remote basis within the United States. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities  
 

Program Leadership  

  • Contribute to co-design of programs and projects and oversee work from kick-off to successful completion.  
  • Serve as lead day-to-day contact with external partners, including collaborating on activities and requests beyond the scope of the project/grant. 
  • Manage grantmaking programs and oversee and execute the full lifecycle of program grantmaking.  
  • Monitor grantee requirements and report on collective, portfolio-level impact for internal and external partners.  
  • Ensure effective communication with leadership and other collaborators on progress and challenges, creating solutions to problems before they arise. 
  • Partner with Director on fundraising opportunities for portfolio, cultivating, tracking, and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders and organizations. 
  • Synthesize and analyze grantee deliverables and metrics to inform reporting, storytelling, and amplifying critical work by grantees.  
  • Partner with Director, Social Impact on managing and tracking project budgets. 
     

Management 

  • May manage Individual Contributors and/or Interns, ensuring Panorama’s performance management concepts are upheld, and supporting their professional development and learning. 
  • Manage across to team members within Panorama, serving as a strong collaborator and partner. 
  • Manage external consultants and vendors across various workstreams as needed. 
  • Oversee and guide work to strengthen existing and develop new tools, processes, and best practices to manage efficient and effective program and process implementation. 


Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  
 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training.  
  • Experience with grantmaking and grants management processes, including RFP development, review and analysis of grant proposals, funding approval process, and renewals. 
  • Experience with collaborative program design, implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Demonstrated success in global advocacy initiatives, showcasing expertise in navigating diverse cultural landscapes, engaging with international stakeholders, and supporting impactful campaigns on a global scale. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, adept at conveying complex information clearly to diverse audiences and discerning when over-communication is necessary. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and Panorama’s values 
  • Able and excited to work in unstructured/ambiguous situations, creatively problem solve, and make recommendations 
  • Takes initiative, works proactively, and is mindful of how work may require or impact others 
  • Highly reliable and able to manage multiple projects and priorities adeptly. 
  • Ability to translate broad visions and ideas into concrete proposals with clear deliverables, timelines, and budgets. 
     

Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience in global health, international grantmaking, and/or mission-driven social-impact program development and implementation. 
  • Experience working with or at an organization focused on Type 1 Diabetes and/or Non-communicable diseases. 
  • Experience in fundraising, grant writing, proposal development, and/or managing business development processes. 
  • Brings financial acumen to program management, experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking.  
  • Experience with Salesforce and Asana. 
  • Fluency in other languages.

Compensation & Benefits  
 

The starting salary for this role is $85,000.  When determining an initial offer, we carefully consider these factors: candidate skill and experience; room for growth within the band; and internal equity across the team.
