Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant program/project management experience.
  • Degree in either Business, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Expert utilization of productivity packages like MS Office/ MS Project etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and good business judgment.
  • Proven history of having worked across cross-functional teams and functions.

Overview and Responsibilities:
The CS ZAF Recruiting team is looking for a strong Project Manager to join its team for a short term assignment supporting the recruiting operations in South Africa. In this role, you will lead key strategic projects that change the way we recruit, with high visibility to the business.
The objectives of this position include:
This role requires working with business teams across the company to define requirements and high level solutions; restructure processes; engage with cross-functional business teams and managing timelines for teams to support project implementation. This position involves regular communication with project sponsors on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with stakeholders and key business sponsors.
  • Work with and establish project teams and ensure that all agreed strategic projects are progressing and delivering desired results on time and in budget.
  • Lead the implementation of cross functional processes to course correct inflight projects that meet business objectives.
  • Proactively identifies solutions to meet business objectives, taking into account the implications of change on the organization and all stakeholders.
  • Using own initiative to develop or improve program or project management processes.
  • Through effective project management, support the development of business solutions by questioning and challenging the status quo. At all times driving to the desired end state and ensuring the voice of the customer is reflected in everything that we do.
  • As required maintain relationships with internal/external vendors/parties to ensure teams are engaged and effectively utilizing the best tools available.
  • Perform daily functions, such as program scheduling and planning, monitoring and status reporting against planned deliverables, benefits and milestones, resource and programme tracking, development and management of risk, issue, action logs, including, risk assessment, reporting, benefit tracking and escalation to appropriate executive teams.
  • Maintain key relationships with stakeholders to ensure non-duplication of projects and to drive engagement on key initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal program management certification (e.g. PRINCE II/ PMI/ PMP)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL/MySQL
  • Proven experience engaging cross-functional projects and managing company-wide programs
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Experience of leading miscellaneous results oriented project.
  • 3+ years in an international work environment in project or program management
