The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE:
POST No. 3661: PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL SCIENCE.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have a PhD in Animal Nutrition, plus Ten (10) years teaching experience at tertiary level.
He/she should be able to teach Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry.
A considerable track record of research publications in peer reviewed journals.
Proven track record of supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate students
Acquired administrative duties will be an added advantage.
DUTIES:
Supervision of students’ projects and dissertations;
Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
Participating in the research programmes of the Department/Faculty; Performing other duties required by the Department/Faculty;
The incumbent will be expected to carry out teaching and conduct research in his/her area of expertise, and perform any other duties as may be required by the Department.
To engage in Community Service
CONTRACT DURATION:
The appointment for this post shall be on contract for a period of two years with a possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance..
The successful candidate will be expected to resume duty by end of August 2018 or as close to that date.
