Lifeline South Africa seeks to appoint Registered Nurses x2 to be based in Johannesburg.
Treatment Line: Full time position
Key responsibilities:
AIDSHELPLINE: The purpose of the role is to provide professional, quality, accurate and anonymous telephone information and/or education on Anti-retroviral treatment and provide relevant specialized medical referrals to individuals affected and infected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa.
Qualifications and experience:
Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a General Nurse, Midwife, Community Health Nursing and Psychiatry.
Applicants must have at least two to three years’ experience as a professional nurse, have an in-depth knowledge of HIV and AIDS, VCT, TB and STI programmes, Anti-retroviral treatment (ART) programme.
Must be fluent in English and at least 2 other official languages and be computer literate.

Proficiency in English and two other SA languages required.
Excellent knowledge of HIV and AIDS.
Excellent knowledge of Anti-Retroviral Treatment (ART) of HIV and AIDS.
Excellent knowledge of the National ART guidelines (NDOH-SA 2004).
Excellent knowledge of Communicable and non-communicable diseases
Excellent knowledge of mid-wivery
Excellent telephone etiquette.
