Location : Limpopo – Capricorn 1, Mopani 1
Contract Type : Fixed Term Contract
Employment Duration : Appointment until 30/09/2021
Responsibilities include:
Assist MMC Doctors in the provision of VMMC services to clients
Ensure that theatres are prepared and ready for operations
Prepare clients for procedures
Apply anaesthesia/ block
Screen clients
Conduct post-operative observations services
Conduct post-operative reviews on clients
Maintain supply log book and equipment check list
Ensure equipment is in order and well-functioning
Draw bloods as may be required
Participate in Quality assurance and improvement visits and respond to queries
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols
Provide on-going supervision to other team members when required.
Ensure that clients’ information is properly and accurately recorded and reported
Report all AEs observed during review visits
Report all abnormalities observed during pre-operation screening
Participate in research activities of the clinic as may be required
Requirements:
Diploma/ Degree in Nursing Sciences
Registration with SANC (South African Nursing Council)
Experience in MMC and providing assistance during surgery
