St Bernard’s Hospice is a Not-for-Profit, Public Benefit Organisation established in 1991. We provide quality, home-based, palliative care for people battling with life-limiting or life-threatening diseases.
St Bernard’s Hospice seeks to appoint Professional Nurse to be based in East London.
The suitable candidate has to be a compassionate, energetic person without any prejudices, willing to go the extra mile for his/her patients and organisation. They should be able to work well independently and in a team environment, adapting easily to changing priorities.Patients to be nursed in their homes. Illnesses range from Cancer, Renal Failure, Motor Neuron Disease to AIDS and DRTB. All East London areas (50km radius) are serviced ranging from urban to rural.
Salary Range: R218 220 per annum. Regret, no benefits available.

Requirements:
Current Registration with SA Nursing Council.
General Nursing Science Degree / Community Nursing Diploma
Valid code 08 Driver’s Licence
Bilingual with excellent written and spoken command of English
Excellent recordkeeping and administration skills
Qualification in Palliative Care:
Key performance Areas:
Quality palliative nursing services (through home visits)
Supervision of home based carers
Impeccable Recordkeeping
