Position: Professional Counsellor (x3)
Main Duties:
The duties of the post include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions for patients, families, and staff.
- Assess clients’ emotional, psychological, and social needs and develop tailored care plans.
- Deliver counselling services related to HIV/AIDS, chronic illness, grief, trauma, gender-based violence, and other psychosocial issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A relevant degree in Counselling or Social Work with a minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Training and experience in HIV/AIDS counselling, chronic illness, grief, trauma, gender-based violence, and other psychosocial issues or crisis intervention are highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
