The main purpose of the job is to ensure that the day to day operations of Commercial Vehicle assembly are carried in a safe, secure and Cost-effective manner in line with the Plant set targets and guidelines for SQCDEP and according to VPS principles.
Reporting: This role will report to the Production Leader
Job Objectives
- Drive, cascade and deliver business KPI’s (SQDCEP).

Deliver a disciplined and sustainable VPS (Volvo Production System) culture on Gemba.

Plan, Organise and Control Production Inputs.

Lead Production meetings
-
Maintain, Control and Sustain Standardize Production Culture.

Recruitment and socialising of personnel.

Create and Drive a sustainable 5S culture, and maintain Safety & health Standards.

Coaching and Development of Team Members (Team Leaders & Operators).

Create and maintain a discipline driven culture based on performance management.

Conduct compliance audits on all implemented systems/OMS/OBC/5S/VPS/CIP

Assist and support both the Production Manager and Team leader on all line soft issues including handling of disciplinary and coaching matters.

To assist Production Manager in compilation, updating and distribution of all Production reports.

Participate in cross functional initiatives and liaise with all stakeholders.

Initiate, drive and sustain a continuous improvement culture.
