Position: Production Supervisor
Job Description/Purpose
PURPOSE:
SanLei seeks a dynamic, energetic individual with a passion for the outdoors that is keen to grow and learn in the field of Aquaculture. Applicants need to be willing to work and live in an isolated area for extended periods of time, be comfortable in and on water (preferably able to swim), be willing to get your hands dirty and lead by example.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Inspect sites to maintain and improve performance
• Work with assistant production manager in planning weekly work tasks
• Check the job progress daily and re-schedule work based on changing priorities
• Lead by example getting physically involved in day-to-day operations, identifying, and improving Standard operation Systems
• Excellent husbandry, planning, time management skills and executing jobs
• Use your best endeavours to conduct, administer, improve, extend, develop and maintain harvest techniques that are compliant to international best management practice, HACCP and required international certification.
• Comply with all Company and applicable rules, policies, practices and procedures laid down from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in Biology or Agriculture
Minimum 2 years work experience in Aquaculture and or Agriculture production.
Can-do attitude, adaptable and open-minded
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively under a variety of hydrological and climate condition
Proven ability to lead and manage a small team and to work as part of a bigger team 24/7
Management attitude with a proactive approach
Technical with high attention to detail
Team player and good communicator
Skills competencies & requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, early mornings and late evenings
Good planning and project management skills.
Quick to identify and propose solutions to production related problems.

Integrity and honesty
Fluency in English and Sesotho, written and spoken
Willing and able to work in ALL weather conditions
