Applications are invited from suitably qualified internal candidates, who meet the following job specifications. Please note that only candidates who meet the inherent requirementsof the position will be considered.
Purpose:
Coordinates, administers and performs the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality cost.This may involve travel to the specific customer or supplier location.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducts day to day analysis to provide quality assurance support and refines production methods.
- Analyzes data to provide continuous improvements in the supplier’s products.
- Develops methods for testing, sampling and training to ensure required standards are being met.
- Conducts audits and creates finding reports to determine corrective and preventative action.
- Coordinates, administers and performs the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.
- Completion and documentation of all phases of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
- Prepare and submit all necessary PPAP documentation per AIAG guidelines.
- Develop gauge concepts and procure gauges for specific programs.
- Work with component and tooling/equipment suppliers to improve products and resolve -manufacturing problems.
- Participate in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT’s).
- Participate in internal audits as required.
- Train Quality and Production personnel in Quality requirements relating to specific programs.
- Support the Product Introduction Process through all phases of prototype fabrication and delivery.
Preffered Education/Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Quality Engineering Management/ Industrial Engineering or Relevant field
- At least 3 years quality experience preferably in manufacturing OR automotive industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy including High Level of Excel Skills
- Valid drivers license
Mandatory Skills and Knowledge:
- Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role may be advantageous
- Root cause analysis
- Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
- In-depth understanding of technical documentation
- Great attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer profeciency
