Production Foreman – Tapping (Lesotho)
CBI Electric invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Production Foreman – Tapping, based in Lesotho.
Main Purpose
To supervise and coordinate the Tapping Department, together with other sub‑assembly operations within the Lesotho environment, ensuring the production of high‑quality products in alignment with the production plan and export orders.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the production, verification, and dispatch of products in accordance with relevant specifications, procedures, and quality standards
- Provide training to supervisors and operators, ensuring adherence to work instructions and procedures
- Identify and report production or quality issues to the Factory Manager and Quality Manager
- Implement and maintain corrective and preventative actions as directed by the Factory Manager and Quality Control Manager
- Monitor operator performance, efficiency, and output, and recommend and implement changes to improve production performance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment through effective housekeeping practices
- Ensure all finished products are correctly identified and labelled
- Ensure the availability of correct drawings, tools, and materials required to complete production orders
- Confirm that all required work documents are available before production commences
- Enforce safety and health standards in line with the OSHACT system
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
- Technical or Production Qualification
- National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage
- Proven experience in a production environment
- Computer literacy
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a team effectively
