REQUIREMENT : WASHABLE FACE MASK FOR LEARNERS
- SPECIFICATIONS:
Breathable fabric material or equivalent; Three (3) ply (i.e. 3 layered) structure with the inner-most layer
being made from cotton material; integrated elastic ear loops; duckbill or cup-shaped or similar; not
collapse against the mouth to enable easy breathing; must cover the mouth and nose adequately
STANDARDS: Must comply with applicable South African Bureau of Standards (SABS).
SIZE: “one-size-Fits-All design”.
Early Childhood Development (ECD) Learners: Four (4) to Five (5) years of age
Primary school Learners: Six (6) to Twelve (12) years of age
Secondary school Learners: Thirteen (13) to Seventeen (17) years of age.

Color: Dark Blue and printed MoET in White
- DELIVERY:
a) ECD QUANTITY = 30,000 (Children’s Face Masks: Ages 4-5)
Partial weekly delivery of batches not less than a quantity of 5,000 per week per batch. Production
starts after signing contract with UNICEF.
b) PRIMARY & SECONDAY SCHOOL QUANTITY = 70,000
(Learners Face Masks: Ages 12 – 17)
Partial weekly delivery of batches not less than a quantity of 10,000 per week per batch. Production
starts after signing contract with UNICEF.
c) ECD / PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOLS QUANTITY = 100,000
Complete quantity for both EC, Primary and Secondary schools within a period of 6-7 weeks after
receipt of UNICEF Purchase order.
INSTRUCTION FOR DELIVERY:
Bidders may bid for partial deliveries indicated in (a) and (b) above or for the whole consignment of
100,000 Face Masks.
