Introduction
The Role of the Product Owner (Lending) will be to drive the business development and commercialization of lending products.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of Product Owner (Lending) include;
1.1.Develop and implement the country’s lending products and distribution strategy and execution to drive product profitability.
1.2.Conduct research and implement evaluation of market trends, product industry, competition strategies, product pricing and positioning.
1.3.Provide guidance on the acquisition of lending projects including new products through developing strong partnerships with the in-country and group stakeholders ensuring successful delivery of all lending projects across the subsidiaries.
1.4.Conduct research and analysis of lending product model and operations within the country.
1.5.Collaborate with the Sales, Channels and Marketing department on acquiring new business.
1.6.Produces timeous reports for management meetings.
1.7.Build relationships with the relevant stakeholder to grow Letshego’s business
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or similar field; Honours or Masters Degree in above disciplines will be a competitive advantage
- Experience:
At least 5 years’ experience in Product Management position, with at least 2 years in a management position; Experience in driving products initiatives end-to-end; development to post-rollout management - Knowledge:
Strong understanding of customer insights and analytics; Understanding product and customer lifecycle and management - Skills:
Excellent creative and strategic problem solving skills (i.e. problem definition & structuring, analysis definition, insight generation & recommendation generation); Excellent communication skills especially with top management and other stakeholders; Ability to drive the execution of new products, from inception to implementation
