About the position
We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to focus on growing our CommCare user base and SaaS revenue through the exciting growth stage of getting from 300 to 1,000 SaaS customers. This new hire will help us formalize our Go To Market (GTM) plan (formalization of buyer personas and their buyer journeys, positioning, marketing strategy) and be accountable for messaging and sales enablement. As Product Marketing Manager for CommCare, you will think like a general manager with strong customer empathy, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to research, synthesize and analyze data to drive impact.
Responsibilities
Product Marketing Operations

  • Develop a marketing plan for Dimagi’s CommCare product in conjunction with our product, sales and marketing teams, to support the retention and expansion of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the iNGO and digital development market(s), our competitive landscape and target buyer personas
  • Collaborate with product management and sales to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas
  • Plan the launches of net-new features and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop product demos, internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use them
  • Develop external collateral such as webpages, case studies, playbooks, success stories, brochures
  • Ensure marketing assets and collateral are maintained and organized across different systems for accessibility
  • Partner closely with marketing team members to deliver on business objectives
  • Support the development of best practices for product marketing across Dimagi in collaboration with the Global Marketing Director and US Health Marketing Director

Demand Generation Support

  • Work closely with the Marketing Campaign Manager, the product team, the sales team, and our customers to develop and deliver high-value webinars for prospects and existing customers
  • Partner with the Marketing Campaign Manager and the digital marketing team to build and execute digital campaigns including developing content, defining target audience, testing, launching and analyzing results
  • Work with digital marketing to perform regular marketing automation improvements, hold share outs and share learnings
  • Define product marketing KPIs; regularly track results and provide updates to business stakeholders

Market Intelligence

  • Conduct market research to assist in defining product marketing strategy by collecting data focused on competitor landscape and voice of the customer
  • Maintain consistent reporting cadences across the marketing team by using our data to communicate performance, areas for improvement and share successes or failures
  • Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and work with the marketing team to improve the ROI and impact of the program

Relevant Skills

  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Experience working in global health, digital for development, technology in public health and related industries
  • A broad functional understanding of sales and marketing
  • Ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as storytelling with PowerPoint/Google Slides and other tools; English fluency
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency using Excel
  • Highly organized and autonomous, but also collaborative and able to work cross-functionally
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite and Google suite
  • BA or BS in marketing, communications or equivalent experience
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Experience creating organizational alignment

Strong Pluses:

  • Strong understanding of demand generation campaigns
  • Product management and product marketing experience, particularly in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Experience with Marketing Automation technology (Hubspot, or similar), Salesforce, and Google Analytics or similar analytics tools
  • General copywriting and editing skills
  • Intermediate project management skills
  • Energetic with a growth mindset
  • Proven track record of driving growth and enabling sales

Compensation and Benefits:
We aim to make a difference, not just as a company but also as an employer. We are transparent about salaries at all levels of the organization and have a standard, global pay scale for all positions that is non-negotiable. The salary for this position is 679,913 ZAR annually.
