Job Title: Product Manager, Logistics Management Information System

Position Classification: Full‑time, Regular, Exempt (40 hours/week if based in the US)
Reports To: Director, Operations Systems
Location: Remote within Lesotho, Rwanda, or the United States, with up to 25% international travel
Availability: Must be available daily between 08:00 – 12:00 ET, regardless of location
Work Authorization: Candidates must have authorization to work in their country of residence (Lesotho, Rwanda, or the US)


Position Overview

The Product Manager, Logistics Management Information System is a key member of the Operations Systems team within the International Operations Department, responsible for cross‑site planning and support of facilities, pharmacy, and supply chain operations.

The Product Manager will serve as the global lead for PIH’s Logistics Management Information System, OpenBoxes, overseeing developers and quality assurance specialists to deliver system customizations that improve operational efficiency. The role includes coaching OpenBoxes administrators and support staff to ensure high‑quality service for all country teams.


Key Responsibilities

Electronic Systems Development (70%)

• Act as Product Manager for PIH’s supply chain system, OpenBoxes, leading a team of eight (8) developers and QA specialists
• Serve as the primary business analyst, including feature design, ticket specification and estimation
• Coach teammates in creating effective development tickets
• Lead the annual OpenBoxes roadmap development process
• Triage bugs and enhancement requests with support and implementation teams
• Manage integrations between OpenBoxes and other required PIH software systems


System Implementation, Adoption, and Support (25%)

• Develop and implement an adoption plan for each quarterly release
• Track feature adoption metrics and share key learnings across teams
• Maintain strong relationships with PIH country teams
• Provide coaching and direct support to assigned country teams
• Support system implementation and optimization initiatives as needed


Networking and Community Engagement (5%)

• Engage with digital health and open‑source communities through conferences and collaborations
• Maintain active participation in the OpenBoxes community
• Support funding efforts and grant‑funded commitments alongside the Director


Qualifications

Required Experience and Education

• 6–8 years of combined education and experience in product management, supply chain, or healthcare operations
• 2–3 years of experience as a Product Manager or Business Analyst
• Preferred: Experience working with health technology in a developing country


Skills

Required

• Strong end‑to‑end delivery skills (project scoping, staffing, execution, and delivery management)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Roadmap development and prioritization
• User discovery and business process mapping
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders

Preferred

• Data analytics skills (advanced Excel; basic SQL or BI tools)
• Experience training or coaching users with low digital literacy

Pay and Benefits

United States‑Based Candidates

• Expected starting salary range: USD 80,000 – 90,000 per year
• Overall salary band: USD 70,000 – 95,000 per year
• Comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with employer match, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
• Paid time off:
– 15 vacation days

– 3 volunteer days
