POSITION: Product Manager – Econet Business

DEPARTMENT: Marketing and Customer Experience

REPORTING TO: Head – Products and Services

PURPOSE:

To plan and execute products throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and collaborating closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support divisions to meet revenue and customer satisfaction targets.

Key duties/Responsibilities

· Tracks market trends, carries a SWOT analysis including customer behavior and takes corrective action relevant to market positioning ;

· Plans the acquisition, retention and subscriber usage through information and data received Retail, Marketing, Enterprise and relevant departments;

· Identifies and recommends suitable products for usage enhancement, acquisition and retention for individual HVC and Enterprise customers through the relevant departments;

· Receives feedback from relevant departments regarding products and services performance and alerts the Head Products and Services performance and takes appropriate action;

· Ensures the Product life cycle;

· Develops proper documentation throughout the product development cycle;

· Ensure adherence to SOP’s and policies applicable to the new product development;

· Defines ‘End User’ testing document and manages User Acceptance Testing prior to the product launch;

· Liaises with Marketing for Product Launches;

· Ensures Product Training in liaison with the HR department.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Degree in Business/Commercial/IT/Marketing/Engineering or equivalent

· 4 – 6 years’ experience in Telecommunications, Business Management or Commercial

· Clear verbal and written communication and ability to prepare reports

· Ability to plan and organize in lie with job requirements

· Ability to solve analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes

· Ability to interact, negotiate and achieve targets

· Ability to manage and develop staff
