The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) was established by an Act of Parliament as a parastatal. The LNDC Act No. 20 of 1967, as amended by LNDC Act No. 13 of 1990 and LNDC Act No. 7 of 2000, mandates the Corporation to: “initiate, promote and facilitate the development of manufacturing and processing industries, mining and commerce in a manner calculated to raise the level of income and employment in Lesotho. The LNDC invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following position:
1. Procurement Officer (Paterson Grade CS).
PURPOSE
To provide procurement services for the various business units in the Lesotho National Development Corporation in line with the Corporation’s strategic plan. procurement policy and procedures. To interact with business units and with suppliers, maintaining positive working relationships. To assist in identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies and continuity in procurement. The Position Reports to the Procurement Manager.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Accounting
- 3 – 5 years in a similar role. Experience in Construction procurement will be an added advantage.
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain
