Position: Procurement Officer
– Ordering required materials and ensuring timeous delivery.
– Creating suppliers’ and clients’ database with complete information.
– Liaising with other departments and providing guidance in preparing lists of specifications needed in items to be purchased to ensure that quality items are procured.
– Building rapport with suppliers and negotiating discounts.
– Taking inventory and ordering office supplies.
– Assessing procurement processes within the company and improving them.
– Preparing timely and accurate procurement documents (PR, RFQ, etc.
– Adjusting stock.
– Following purchase order procedure to ensure proper paperwork trail.
– Conducting daily stock checks (quantities and expiry dates).
– Negotiating contracts and pricing.
– Responding to clients’ transaction status and inquiries.
– Submitting payment requests to the Finance Department
– Delivering high quality procurement advice to enable informed planning.
– Preparing bidding documents.
– Ensuring that ordered goods have been delivered.
– Creating a comprehensive, confidential, and accessible filling system for procurement documents.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– A Diploma in supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, or related field.
– At least Three(3) years’ professional experience in procurement.
– Valid Driver’s license of over three (3) years and the ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
