TENDER NOTICE: Procurement of Works for MAFETENG SUB-STATION REFURBISHMENT
Reference: LEC/PO-1139/2025/26
Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC) invites interested and qualified electrical engineering entities to submit tender “Procurement of Works for MAFETENG SUB-STATION REFURBISHMENT”. All interested bidders must be in possession of a proven track record and must be licensed for providing works of this nature.
All bidders must attach copies of valid Tax Clearance Certificates and Company Registration Licenses or equivalents, as bids without these documents shall be disqualified.
The full Invitation to Tender (ITT) Document indicating all requirements and specifications may be downloaded on the LEC website (www.lec.co.ls).
Conditions
- The Bids must be submitted in English.
- Tenders received later than the deadline mentioned below, telegraphic, faxed or emails shall not be accepted.
- There shall be a compulsory site visit on 16 March 2026 @ 10:00 a.m. at Mafeteng Substation. Registration will start from 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Late bidders will not be considered.
- Detailed tender packaging and labelling requirements in the ITT must be adhered to, failure of which shall lead to disqualification.
- Interested bidders shall pay a non-refundable participation fee of M1,000.00.

Proof of payment should be brought to any LEC Customer Services for the bidder to get a receipt of payment. The receipt of payment should be submitted along with the bids. Only electrical engineering entities who submitted the receipt of M1,000.00 shall be considered in this Tender.
