- The Ministry of Natural Resources has received financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB) toward the cost of the Lesotho Lowlands Water Development Project Phase II Works (LLWDPII) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Procurement of sewer line cleaning truck.
- The Ministry of Natural Resources now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of sewer line cleaning truck – 1 set based on Isuzu, Nissan or Toyota model with delivery to Maseru and further training.
- Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the EIB Guide to Procurement published on 5th July 2024 at www.eib.org (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. International firms including South Africans are eligible to participate in this tender as per item 3.4.1. (page 10) of the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Lesotho Lowlands Water Development Project Phase II, Procurement Office, Mme Matumelo Daemane, email: [email protected] and inspect the RFB Document during office hours between 09h00 to 16h00 hours (local time: UTC+2) at the address given below.
- The bidding document in English may be downloaded by interested Bidders free of charge from LLWDP II website; www.lldp.co.ls/opportunities/tenders
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 7th January 2026, 11:00 (local time: UTC+2). Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 7th January 2026, 11:15 (local time: UTC+2).
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of LSL 35,000 (Thirty-Five Thousand) equivalent.
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
- The Bank also requires that each tenderer or contract beneficiary signs a Covenant of Integrity (see section 3.6 and Annex 3 of the Procurement Regulations).
