Responsibilities

– Maintains full compliance with the USAID and Jhpiego procurement policies

– Obtain excellent knowledge of Lesotho regulations that govern trade and business

– Provides inputs for external decision-making for budgets and forecasts

– Performs the processes of sourcing quotations/bids and performing cost and price analysis

– Act as the first point of contact for project procurement to ensure compliance with the USAID and Jhpiego procurement policies

– Responsible for preparation of purchase orders that are below BVS threshold and ensuring appropriate approvals

-Maintains contact with supplies regarding orders and deliveries

– Maintains suppliers database list

– Liaise with program coordinators, Admin Assistant, and Procurement Officer for purchasing needs and specifications

– Performs vendor verification against terrorist checklist in accordance with the US government regulations

– Participate in Procurement Committee when required

– Perform other duties as required

Qualifications, Experience, and Requirements

– BA in Finance, Procurement, Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field

– 4+ years’ relevant experience

– Expert knowledge in the use of software applications, databases spreadsheets and/or word processing required- Good knowledge of USAID procurement rules and regulations
