What You Will Do:

  • Assist with the general analysis of suppliers for potential preferential procurement changes.
  • Create and maintain a register for all Ecolab and Nalco contracts per supplier.
  • Check and maintain information on Syspro and iScala w.r.t: BBBEE Status; ERP quarterly pricing updates; Contract availability and expiry dates; Supplier contact details, physical addresses, Tax, VAT and Bank numbers.
  • Liaise with Supply chain to ensure call-off orders are all in place (for the 20% supplier base) as well as expediting ad hoc pricing.
  • Process manual purchase requisitions and subsequent manual purchase orders, obtaining authorization signatures and assisting with updates on the Electronic Purchase Order Process.
  • Epic Compliance – Suppliers; Contact suppliers to update MSDS, TDS, & COA; Compile an maintain a register; File documents accurately; Liaise and advise Regulatory; Ensure that specifications and CAS numbers are not older than 3 years.
  • Follow up with MEA Vendor Creation so that the process is timeously and accurately completed. This will entail:
  • Completing Form 1B and submitting to MEA Vendor Creation
  • Ensuring agreements are in place for the new vendor
  • Complete and record all credit applications.
  • Maintain a register of all new vendors.
  • Assist with minutes and circulate.
  • Maintain, record and amend policies for authorization as may be required.
  • From a Health and Safety perspective assist with maintenance of the Admin Building w.r.t Repairs, Quotes and Job Cards by liaising with Softmec to affect the required repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence/persuade decision makers and motivate team members.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Self-driven and results oriented.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Verbal/written communication skills needed to train/ coach others.
